I watched the plot for 4400 and I felt like I am
not going to continue because I made the same decision before and I totally forgot
about it. That is the simply answer about the show. I was in the mood to watch
this show for a while. Something about people disappearing and are lost in
time. The plot seemed reasonable until the fact that there 4400 and story
revolves around Homeland Security.
The story is about people that disappeared
starting in 1930s until recent times. One day a comet is heading towards earth
and it dramatically lands in the United States. The show begins to show the
disappeared of main actors of the show plot. The first is the little girl whom
for some reason wants to run around in the frost while wearing a dress. The
second is black guy in the US army during the Korean War that is beat up for
being black and he is carrying a picture of lover whom he tattooed her name on
his arm. The third is two bros drinking beers next a beach. The light grabs one
of them and makes the other bro get into a coma.
There are few stories from 4400 that is part of
the main plot of the show that we get to see develop. The first is the black
guy from the 1950s whom falls in love with his lover granddaughter. For some
reason, the plot, she looks like her grandmother. This makes it easy for the
black guy to enact with her. The big thing about the white woman is she is
pregnant with something that controls her will. For some reason or any other,
the fetus dislikes certain people and places.
The second plot of the main story is the little
girl that knows the future but in creepy way. As she first get out from the
government building. For some reason, she is adopted by a random couple. They
freak out because she gives them hints about the future in the creepiest way
possible. For example, she example she puts her shoes on top of her chair. They
tell her that shoes should not be on top of chairs. She replies in creepy way
that she does not want to them get wet. The couple for some reason did not
really need to know why or how. They only exist so that we know that the girl
is creepy and she knows the future. They do not want to take advantage of her
knowledge. They just want to make it for one espiode and exit.
The third plot is main characters nephew whom
comes back with 4400. He only disappeared for three years. He has the power of
life and death and for some reason he is emo about his powers. He does not want
to do anything about it but he wants to live a normal life. For some reason,
his little brother, they are the same age now, girlfriend, she is also the baby
neighbor from past, loves him. I feel like he is there to make the show
depressing.
The two main characters are a duo of Homeland
security undercover cops whom have to keep taps on the 4400. The main exists is
make sure that they run into new characters every week that have different
powers to either provoke them or stand by as they get killed for the some
reason or another. I feel like I have said ‘for some’ a lot since this is the feeling
that the show give me. I could not continue to watch the show because I did not
want to see the character grow. The idea is great but to see different powers
every week is something that I cannot do after Smallville in early 2000s.
